Well, I don't want to go into too many details right now but Jonathan and I are back from the hospital. I didn't progress like they would have liked and I didn't want to stay in the hospital waiting for two days jusdt to get my body ready to start contraction medicine...we decided it was best for the baby and me to come home and wait longer....yeah... I have been dealing with it okay. It was really disappointing at first but we know it is for the best. Sorry if I avoid any calls, I don't feel like talking right now.
Love you all. Abby

Good for you Abby! I think you made the right decision. It's almost impossible to avoid an epidural if you're on pitocin. I hate pitocin and would avoid it for anything. You are right you want to avoid a C-section which is also a risk if you induce. Just remember that your little boy is NOT late! There must have been a miscalculation with the date of your last period or something. Babies are not late, they are born on time, when they're ready. I am proud of you. I know the waiting sucks! You'll be in our prayers!
boo oviously the due date WAS sept 4th! i cant wait! and just think...its all going to be so precious and fabulous!
Yea, Sept 4th probably was the due date after all? I'm sorry for all the frustrations, I'm sure you're just more than ready to meet him! And it is so exciting, I hope you're as comfortable as possible (which is hard, I can't imagine!)But if I did have a spirit (or spirits) in me, I think they're playing together :) I like to think so at least. who knows though, heh . . . this bringing your family to earth stuff is interesting. . . and definitely sometimes no fun!
Abby you know I love you and I think you are doing so amazing waiting and being patient, but I think it is kind of funny on your baby counter thing on the blog your little munchkin is already two weeks old . . . that is meant to be funny. I think it is anyway. I love you I can't wait for little "CJ" to be ready!! love you
Hey Abby!! I am so excited that you are going to be a mom!! Has the little guy showed up yet? Hang in there!! That must be so tough to have to keep waiting. You are in my prayers.
Thanks for your comment. I miss you too!! After our training in Alabama is done, we are going to a base near Santa Barbara, CA. I love you!!
Abby! I just found your blog -- what an exciting time!! I am so glad you didn't induce (at least when last you posted)... have you had the baby now? I'm also so excited for you to have a natural birth. I just birthed natural after a 35-hour labor, which of course I couldn't anticipate or I surely wouldn't have been able! It's crazy how you just never know what to expect, isn't it. but in the end I guess its best that way. It's important for this baby to be born at the right time, not just for his sake now, but because his life will play out a little differently depending on his moment of arrival. I can't wait for updates. All the best to your family. I'm glad to be back in touch. :)
Love you!
Nonie
