Sans Isaac
The last time I ran in a race was over two years ago at the Air Force Marathon in Dayton Ohio. This of course was before I was a mother. (it was a relay marathon, 6 miles) Unfortunately, I have only run a handful of times since then.
My friend Natalie and Jonelle were talking about upcoming races at my house on Sunday. They were thinking of running the CowTown Marathon in Fort Worth. I immediately got excited because my little sister lives there and I thought it might be motivating for both of us to train and get back into shape. (She just had her baby girl three weeks ago) So this week, with some motivation, I have already run 7 miles. 4 of which I ran with Isaac. (With my old, awful, veer to the left jogging stroller.) I was initially going to attempt a full marathon. However, with Michigan winter approaching, and Eliza's recent physical demands, we decided to run the half instead.
I am so excited. I have never run anything greater than an 8k race. While it isn't a marathon, I still feel like this will be an ambitious goal that I will have to work hard to achieve. It will also get me into shape and I will be able to run a race with my sister!!!

Wow! Go Abby! I remember when we exercised together and Jonathan laughed at us. It was the first and last time we did it!
Remember the great days of cross country!? I ran a half marathon a few years ago...probably more than a few now but I'm too scared to think all the way back to when it actually was! If I can do, you can do it! You were always much faster than I was!!!
I remember this!!! Good luck!
